Being a local man I am too well aware of the issue of anti social behaviour.  Even in a a sleepy town like Buntingford we suffer.  I am fully supportive of Councillor Pat Whittakers' request for CCTV in the town centre in a bid to deter vandalism. 

On a personal note I would like to thank the officers who captured the criminal suspects who recently robbed the local Somerfield store.

On a broader level,  UK Independence Party have a very clear policy of getting bobbies back on the beat and the handcuffs on the criminals not the police. 

The UK independence party believes that policing can be much improved by

• greater local control
• relieving our police of unnecessary paperwork
• supporting the presumption of innocence for homeowners defending their home from intruders
